چکیده
To develop functional cosmetic material using Rhodiola rosea, the biological activities such as anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, astringent, anti-tyrosinase, and anti-elastase activity were investigated with methanol, n-hexane, chloroform, ethyl acetate, n-butanol, water fractions of R. rosea Root. DPPH ABTS radical scavenging acetate fraction increased in a dosedependent manner; higher than other fractions. The total phenolic content also showed relatively high value 500.485±4.848 mgGAE/g. significantly decreased LPS-induced NO production IL-6 secretion compared untreated control cells at above 5-100 μg/mL concentrations. astringent was 94.31% concentration 500 μg/mL, similar to that tannic acid. mushroom tyrosinase inhibition abilities hexane, butanol 10.44%, 17.53%, 14.55%, respectively, 100 μg/mL. Furthermore, an elastase rate effect 45.46% 45.07% fraction. These results indicate R. rosea Root would be used natural beauty-food industries.

متن کاملRhodiola rosea L. as a putative botanical antidepressant.
BACKGROUND Rhodiola rosea (R. rosea) is a botanical adaptogen with putative anti-stress and antidepressant properties. Evidence-based data supporting the effectiveness of R. rosea for depression in adults is limited, and therefore a comprehensive review of available animal and human studies suggesting a putative antidepressant action is warranted. PURPOSE A review of the literature was undert...

we studied the effects of adaptogens extracts of Siberian ginseng, Rhodiola rosea, bergenia, and ginseng and pantohematogen, on erythropoiesis after paradoxical sleep deprivation. Adaptogens stimulated bone marrow erythropoiesis in the early stage, but decreased the count of bone marrow erythrokaryocytes 3-7 days after treatment. The effect of adaptogens on erythropoiesis is associated with mod...

In the current study, we investigated 2 species of the genus Rhodiola for the inhibition of alpha-amylase,alpha-glucosidase and angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitory activity. Water extracts of Rhodiola crenulata had the highest alpha-amylase inhibitory activity (IC50,98.1 microg total phenolic /ml) followed by ethanol extract of R.crenulata (IC50, 120.9 microg total phenolic/ml) and e...
